How should I use glycerin and witch hazel topical?

Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor.

It is best to use this medication after using the bathroom or having a bowel movement.

Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if they get worse within 7 days.

Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

Glycerin and witch hazel topical dosing information

Usual Adult Dose for Hemorrhoids:

Gently apply to the affected area by patting and then discard. Can be used up to 6 times per day or after each bowel movement.

Usual Pediatric Dose for Hemorrhoids:

12 years or older:
Gently apply to the affected area by patting and then discard. Can be used up to 6 times per day or after each bowel movement.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Since glycerin and witch hazel topical is used when needed, you may not be on a dosing schedule. Skip any missed dose if it's almost time for your next dose. Do not use two doses at one time.

What happens if I overdose?

An overdose of glycerin and witch hazel topical is not expected to be dangerous. Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222 if anyone has accidentally swallowed the medication.
